3. Poor heat treatment – Inconsistent hardness means the recess or thread edges break down under load. Cheap screws often skip proper quenching.
4. Lack of lubrication – Dry threads increase friction, so you apply more torque than needed—again leading to deformation.
5. Misaligned driving – Angled pressure wears one side of the recess, causing uneven engagement and eventual stripping.
